Dear Father,

This is the one and only time that I will be at Valley Forge because I’m not going to re-enlist in the spring. So I will be seeing you and the family when I get home. I am here to help care for the wounded and help with the medicines.

I met Mr. Washington today and he’s real nice. And I think that he’s really good at his job. I’m safe in Valley Forge. I will be home real soon. So please don’t worry. I’m feeling really good about this revolution.

I will write again when I get a chance but it will be real soon. Send the family my love. Washington needs me.
